on 1 VINTAGE CROSS PEEN HAMMER BLACKSMITH / ANVIL / FORGE TOOL. I am not an expert with hammers so I am not exactly sure what it is used for or how old it is, I will let you determine that. It is all magnetic. There are no apparent markings. This came from an estate sale in northern N.H. which had this hammer in the garage’s blacksmith shop. The head is approximately 6 7/8” long and the blade end is approximately 1 ½” wide. The overall length is approximately 16 3/8” and the total weight is approximately
4 Lbs. on a scale that is not calibrated.
Other than wiping it down with a damp cloth, it is in the original used condition as I got it. It has no apparent breaks, cracks, or repairs. There are scratches, chips, flicks, paint, dirt, rollover, hammering dings and some surface rust throughout. The handle appears to be handmade and is a little loose to the head. I will leave the cleaning and if preferred restoration to the professionals. This may be the one you have been looking for to add to your collection or use on any of your blacksmith jobs.
