    and DOWNEY CALIFORNIA SLOGAN CANCELLATION 7/20/79

    Cover commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 MOON LANDING. This cover features the 15 cent "FT. MCHENRY FLAG" stamp and is postmarked on July 20, 1979 at the Downey, California. In addition to the date and location contained in the circular cancellation, the cancellation contains the slogan "DOWNEY - HOME OF THE SPACESHIPS COLUMBIA 1969-1979". There is an additional fancy cancellation with the same slogan and depicting the Command Capsule and a spaceship.
    The cover has a brown cachet which occupies the entire front of the cover and contains a likeness of the Wright Brothers plane flying over the the dunes at Kitty Hawk. It is a most attractive cover. On the reverse of the cover is the logo of GLOBE on the flap.
    The cover is unsealed and unaddressed.
