For Sale: Hard-to-find, out of print original vintage trade catalog / brochure for
STONHARD COMPANY
, 401 N Broad St., Philadelphia PA. "Materials for Patching, Resurfacing and Waterproofing Floors - Walls - Roofs".
Catalog provides illustrations, photos, feature descriptions and basic specifications for product. Later catalogs state Stonhard
used asbestos
in it's Stonhard Plastic Roof Resurfacer. These pages list that product as being available, but
DOES NOT
mention ASBESTOS as an ingredient.
Still a nice addition to the asbestos litigator's library as an Introductory Trial Offer was made to customers to send a drum of
any
Stonhard material to "any responsible organization,
on trial
. A portion may then be used to make a good-sized test installation, to be observed in actual use for thirty days. If at that time, the test is not satisfactory, the remainder may be returned and our invoice will be cancelled."
Stonhard Stontite "sealed with a mixture of Stontite and neat Portland Cement." Portland cement is known to often contain asbestos, as this snip from the internet shows:
