Cover commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 MOON LAUNCH on July 26, 1969 at the Kennedy Space Center at launch pad 39. This cover features the 10 cent crossed 50 star/13 star flags stamp
issued in December 1973 and a July 16, 1974 "Kennedy Space Center, FL" cancellation.
The cachet is multicolored with a lunar landing module and an astronaut in his space suit
descending while another astronaut is on top of the module and appears to be taking pictures.
Also, within the cachet are drawings of Neil Armstrong, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. and Michael Collins and their respective
facsimile
signatures and the words "
LAUNCHED JULY 16, 1969 - FIRST MOON LANDING JULY 20TH
".
Also printed within the cachet is "
