    APOLLO 11 TENTH ANNIVERSARY 5/6/79
    HUNTSPEX STATION, ALABAMA. EAGLE CANCELLATION
    FT. MCKINLEY FLAG STAMP SC# 1597
    This cover was cancelled at Huntspex Station, Alabama on May 6, 1979, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch. The circular cancellation includes an Eagle landing on the Moon similar to the Apollo 11 shoulder patch, "Apollo 11" and the Earth in the background. The cancellation is a replica of the cachet.
    The stamp is the 15 cent Ft. McKinley flag stamp SC# 1597.
    The central part of the cachet is a white and blue copy of the Apollo 11 Eagle shoulder patch. Above the patch is printed "Commemoration the 10th Anniversary of the First Manned Lunar Landing Mission July 20, 1969". Below the shoulder patch is printed "Apollo 11 Crew - Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin and Michael Collins".
    The cover is unsealed and unaddressed.
