This is a 140 page, 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, hardcover book titled and subtitled Electrical Drafting / Applied to Circuits and Wiring. The book was written by D. Walter Van Gieson Assistant Electrical Engineer, Board of Transportation, City of New York and was copyrighted and published in 1945 by McGraw-Hill Book Company. This is a First Edition.
As stated in the preface the author considers working drawings of electric machines as essentially mechanical drawings. His intent with this book is to deal with drafting technique as applied to electric circuit diagrams and wiring plans. The book assumes an elementary knowledge of the electric circuit. The book attempts to “carry the reader from the simple form of electrical diagram to those which are more complex by a graded series of drawing plates and explanations, at the same time developing the detailed wiring plan and correlating the equipment-location plan”.

Condition – The book is clean, complete and tightly bound. The camel colored cover cloth with dark brown bordering gold spine edge print is unfaded. Cover cloth wear is minimal consisting of only mildly bumped corners. There are no markings in the book including no previous owners names. Pages are crisp. There are no torn, missing, loose, creased or marked pages. The book is in very good+ condition.
