RARE MOTOMASTER Dual Transistor Ignition System with Exclusive 5 Terminal EXTRA ENERGY BOOSTER Coil 1960's early 70's VINTAGE CARS (Canadian Tire, J.C. Whitney & Co)
This extremely rare engineering concept of an electronic ignition adapter using a vintage 5 terminal coil was sold under the Motomaster brand of Canadian Tire (Model # E-142-18-6020) J.C. Whitney & Co
This kit is fairly elaborate, it is rare because it features a ballast resistor and this special 5 terminal COIL as seen above, leaving in place the car's original coil and resistor!

Simple installation of 4 wires with screw terminals. No cutting or splicing!
You can revert to the car's original ignition system by simply reconnecting a plug in an alternate position
This kit is a cut above the run of the mill ignition adapters capacitive discharge of that era. This includes the Delta Mark Ten, tiger SST, Eico, Heath and Allied Knight-Kit various offerings. None of them includes the special coil!

There are several things that struck me about this transaction.....incredibly well packed item, precise and prompt communication, mint-condition item and a positive overall experience. Incidentally, I checked the signal generator with a Hewlett Packard digital frequency counter. It is dead-on accurate, unusual for an antique analog generator. This has been a distinct pleasure.
