Rare FOSSIL SEA URCHINS from FLORIDA
A Really Nice Fossil Echinoid
(
Eupatagus mooreanus
) from Florida.
This is one of Florida’s fossils from the Pleistocene period, part of the Caloosahatchee Formation.
You get the exact echinoid shown in the photos above which is 59 mm long.
It was collected at the bottom of the Newburn APAC Pit, Sarasota, Fl.
It is now closed like most fossil shell pits in Florida.

This is one of Florida’s oldest fossils from the Oligocene period, part of the Suwannee Formation.
You get the exact 2 echinoids shown in the photos above, largest one
is 41 mm long .
They were collected at the bottom of the West Pit of the old Vulcan Mine, Brooksville, Florida.
