Original 1698 English/Colonial Printed Hand Bill

Description

We have an original 300+ year old printed hand bill dated January 16, 1698. These were sold on street corners in England and in Colonial North America and were the early newspapers of the day. Also, they were collected by many and bound into volumes and kept in the family for long period of time. On the back of this single sheet is a full page of information and at the bottom is "Printed For Edward Jones in the Savoy, and Timothy Goodwin at the Queen's Head Against St. Dunston's Church on Fleet Street, 1698". Printed on rag paper.
