- How to use this Pavement Mold to build the pathway:
Step 1: Mix cement with water. The concrete will be the consistency of oatmeal and thick enough to hold an edge when you slice into it with a shovel.
Step 2: With a bucket or trowel, fill each cavity of the mold with concrete. The concrete should be level with the top of the mold.
Step 3: Smooth the surface with rubber gloves and fill in any gaps. Tap the mold with your hands to eliminate bubbles.
Step 4: Following the contours of the mold, smooth out the concrete, wiping away any excess.
Step 5: In about five to ten minutes, carefully lift the mold. You are ready to do the next section.
Step 6: For curves, butt the outside corner of the mold to the existing walkway.
Step 7: After letting the concrete cure overnight, then fill the cracks with dirt and wash away any excess. Wet the ground around the newly formed pavers to help them settle.
